The artistic duo of Thibault Zimmerman and Lucie Thomas, otherwise known as Zim & Zou, have created ‘Paper Game,’ an amazing reproduction of a classic Gameboy constructed entirely out of paper. Anyone who has ever owned or played a Gameboy is sure to appreciate this piece’s fantastic details. Zim & Zou’s ‘Paper Game’ is a visually stunning piece that creatively uses analog materials to recreate its digital subject matter.

To highlight the irony often held within model poses in editorials, G&V turned obvious sexualy explicit pictures meant to display designer clothes, into a show of models gasping for air.

Christopher Wool & Richard Hell ‘Psychopts’

Artist, Christopher Wool and writer/musician, Richard Hell display their latest works at New York’s Luhring Augustine. The joint venture focuses on their mutual interest in experiences associated with reading. The two created images using a selection of word pairings that are both conceptually estranged yet subliminally connected.

The result is something that can either be disassembled to discover the two hidden words, or just appreciated for its visual presence created by them. The works can also be purchased as a book through the Luhring Augustine website.

GO GET YOUR SHINEBOX by Brooklynite Gallery

On November 21st Brooklynite Gallery will open “Go Get Your Shinebox”. This group show will feature over 100 works from artists all looking to answer the question of how to survive in these economic times by creating their own interpretation of a “Survival Box.” Brooklynite Gallery has commissioned some of their favorite established and emerging artist to take on this challenge and the responses are breathtaking. Artists such as Dain, Miss Bugs, PaperMonster, Anthony Lister, Ben Eine, Jace, Thundercut, Skewville, Ben Frost, Jon Burgerman, Specter, Skewville, Know Hope, Kosbe, Gaia, Ben Frost, Hush, and many more have all created a one of a kind box, each taking the concept of the show one step further.

In an effort to establish new platforms for public art and performance, the
multimedia duo SWEATSHOPPE has developed a new interactive technology that enables
them to explore the relationship between video, mark making and architecture. Dubbed
“video painting”, this technology allows them to essentially “paint” video onto any
surface.
